When Jardy finishes a good splashing bath, he is so soggy wet that he looks black. He often helps himself dry off a bit faster by hanging upside down & flapping.

Every evening, Jardy waits eagerly for his special evening snack. He breathes anxious sighs until he spies a piece of 12 grain bread which he soon reduces to a pile of crumbs.

I have to admit that I take a lot of pictures of bathing birds....I love to watch & record the energy & joy that takes place during a bath. Jardy is rather a quiet & dignified bird so when he lets loose, it's a command performance. Hard to believe that the identity of beautiful elegant green dry bird is the same as the black dripping & drenched spikey-feathered fellow.
