Papaya the Black-headed Caique

Papaya came to visit us as a temporary birdsitting which turned into a permanent home for Papaya as we grew to love him & he loved us in return. Again we have a challenging & joyous & endearing baby caique around. Papaya is a live wire, energetic & agile, and we are his playmates as well as parents. He loves to sing & whistle especially when we're doing a duet. He is considerably more shy than the socially outgoing Gaby, but takes his cues from Gaby & we hope that he will relax his rules about strangers as he grows older. He will be one year old in May, 1998.
